How I Work
I've been trusted by dozens of food bloggers, and I look forward to working with you, too!
"Jess was a wonderful help when I wrote my ebooks. She has a great grasp on everything technical and has a keen eye for detail. She works quickly and efficiently, and knows so much about the industry. Loved working with her!"

"Is there anything Jessica can't do?! I have been working with her for years on everything from web stories, to digital products to graphic design, and she produces incredible work every time! Every project is super timely and her communication is excellent. She truly goes above and beyond and is so patient with all of my silly questions about design. I wouldn't hesitate one bit to hire Jess!"

"Working with Jessica was such a pleasure. She transformed my ideas into beautifully designed printables that were polished, practical and ready to use. Her creativity and design expertise saved me hours of effort, and the finished checklists and planners looked far more professional than anything I could have created myself. I’d happily recommend her to anyone looking for a creative, reliable graphic designer."

Frequently Asked Questions
How does payment work?
Once you agree on the project proposal, I’ll send over a contract to sign and the invoice for the 50% deposit to officially book your spot. The next 50% will be paid upon delivery of final files.
For large projects, we can setup a monthly payment plan. Please make sure to mention this in your request if it’s something you want.
All payments will go through Bonsai (you can pay by card or bank transfer).
Will I own the rights to the designs?
Absolutely. Once we wrap up the project and I receive the full payment, all rights to the designs transfer to you. I'll ensure you have all the necessary files.
What if I need something not mentioned in the services guide?
If you need anything else not mentioned in the services menu, let's chat and I'll provide a custom quote with no strings attached. I can help with a variety of design needs like social media graphics, ads, help with webshop setup, help with book upload (on KDP, Mixam, Etsy, or Bookvault), sales graphics, mockups, etc.
Do you provide support after the project is completed?
Definitely. I believe in nurturing lasting relationships. If you ever have questions or require tweaks post-project, I'm just an email away.
Do you work with international clients?
Yes, I do! Bonsai make it easy for me to collaborate with clients from all corners of the world. There is no additional tax fee or hidden fee. The client portal is helpful for you to track the progress even with the time zone difference.
What if I don’t like the drafted design?
I’ll provide a few different options for you to choose from in the initial draft. If none of the options are to your liking, just let me know and if possible provide more details (or examples) about what you’d like and I’ll work it into the next draft. Every project has unlimited revisions included so you’ll walk out with a design you’re 100% happy with.
What is the difference between editable and professional cookbook?
The editable cookbook design is completely made in Canva, which is easier to navigate and will also give you 100% editing access forever so you can make small tweaks yourself, even with a free account.
The professional design is made in InDesign, which is a complicated tool that gives much more freedom, but is also more time consuming (hence the price difference).
While both are good options for self-publishing on any platform, I recommend the professional design only for larger projects.
What if I have a shorter deadline than the timeline mentioned?
Contact me ASAP with all the project details and your deadline, and I’ll let you know if it’s feasible for me to make it happen. There won’t be any additional rush fee for a shorter timeline.
