Embracing my Creative Life

I'm Jess, the Italian food blogger behind the blog Cooking my Dreams since 2013.

But before becoming a food blogger, I was a freelance graphic designer.

I started playing with Adobe Photoshop in 2007, fresh out of high school, creating event flyers for a friend's club. Since then, I started working for local brands to create custom websites, logos, business cards, and more.

I applied to study graphic design at the Institute of Universal Art and Design in Milan, but then life took a different turn and I ended up not going.

When I moved from Italy to The Netherlands in 2013, I started a corporate job and at the same time opened a food blog to share my Italian recipes and bridge the gap to home while living in a foreign country.

When I had my first son in 2022 I had to quit my job to stay home with my baby and I became full-time self-employed. I finally had more time to offer my graphic design skills to other bloggers and help them create eye-catching logos, beautiful cookbooks and engaging lead magnets.
